synopsis: Henry Roth ( Adam Sandler ), a marine biologist living in Hawaii , meets Lucy Whitmore ( Drew
Barrymore ), an art teacher, in a café one
morning. Coincidentally, engage in relationship but soon discovers that Lucy
suffers from anterograde amnesia following an accident a year earlier. Every morning he wakes up having
lost all memory of the previous day. Believed,
naively, that every day is October 13, 2002.His brother and father act like
that day, the birthday of the father, to prevent suffering and Lucy discover
the accident.
Because of the
special situation of Lucy, Henry strives to achieve new and imaginative ways to
attract the attention of Lucy every day, even though his father and brother
warn you not to keep going to the cafeteria and not take advantage of the
situation. Henry, stop going to the cafeteria, but is situated on the road
between the local and Lucy's house. The
father and brother just discovering that Lucy sings Would not It Be Nice while painting the garage if found with Henry. So, thanks to the determination that
puts Henry and Lucy is happy when he sees his father and brother end up
allowing you to see Lucy.
The next day,
Henry appears at home with a video explaining the accident and everything that
has happened since.

Lucy breaks up
with him and burn all your journal entries. Henry is
unable to go on without Lucy, but finally decided to go to the Arctic.
The father and brother of Lucy
visit him, and tell him that she is following her life, aware every day of his
illness, and walk always happy singing his song Would not It Be Nice,
the father gives him a CD of the Beach Boys . Henry believes that song is a sign
that reminds Lucy and returns to the center for people with memory problems,
where Lucy had decided to live to teach art others.
When Herny enters and asks Lucy
if she remembers, she says no, but asks to accompany you to your room. To his surprise, Henry sees a room
full of paintings of himself in various artistic styles. She tells him she does not know, but
she have dreams of him every night. Henry
explains their relationship and kiss scene ends.
Towards the end of the film, Lucy
wakes up in a strange place to see a video but realizes he has married Henry. Upstairs realizes he is in a boat
through the Arctic with his father, Marlin Henry and his young daughter.
